Kayte has been involved with horses for as long as she can remember and has owned competed and ridden horses all of her life. She overseas all of the management of Newhall and has gained a lot of knowledge along the way, although she admits after years with horses you can still learn something new every day.
Kayte also has her HGV licence and can often be seen driving a rather large lorry around that is full of horses. Although currently Kayte is off horses due to having her little ones, she loves to hunt and Event and is looking forward to getting back in the saddle and getting out competing some of the young horses.
Jon Oram-Evennett
Jon is also heavily involved with the yard, and takes care of the day to day maintenance and care that is involved in running a busy yard.
Jon is passionate about hunting and any spare time he has he will take to the hunting field. Until recently he was Master of Foxhounds for our local hunt, however time and a young family seem to have put pay to that!!
Riding is Jon’s second sport as he was an international Hockey player and upon his retirement took up riding and can now often be seen out on the Eventing circuit with many of his hunters as well.
Jacqueline Blair
Jackie is our head girl and has been with us at Newhall since the beginning! Jackie is responsible for the mooth running of the yard, horses and all of the staff. Jackie has a great deal of experience having worked both and at studs and competition yards in the past she had all of her BHS stages and is also available to teach.
Her real passion is working with young horses and competing in Eventing, she has started many of our young horses and is currently concentrating on a5 year old that is at novice level and about to step up to Intermediate.
Jackie is only 5”3 and also has a lot of experience working with and starting ponies as well!
Anthony Diamond
Anthony Joined us in 2005 and is passionate about horses and everything to do with them, he takes real pride in his job and although not as keen on the competing side is very involved in all day to day care of the horses and is currently gaining a further horse care management qualifications
Lauren Jordan
Lauren had just joined the Newhall Team. She had always owned and ridden horses and this is her first proper job with horses. Lauren already has experiences of stud life as well and doing some competing on her own horses in the past. Laurens passion is Show Jumping and is aiming to do some affiliated competitions in the future
Ashley Devonshire
Ashley moved down to Devon a few months ago with her Parents. She has been around horses all her life. Having decided that a career in horses is her ultimate goal she has moved to Newhall to complete an NVQ in Horsecare management and is working towards her BHS stage 2 qualification. She is very gentle with the horses and has charming and approachable manner.
Katie Johns
Katie is a local girl who attended Bicton College before starting with us at Newhall Equestrian. She is also set upon a career in Horses and hopes to progress to a head girl position in the future. She has proved to be very sensitive with some difficult young horses and will be an real asset to us over the coming months. She is also taking advantage of our association with Haddon Traning and working toward her NVQ in Horse Care management and progreesing well with her satge 2 BHS qualification.
Arianne Atfield
Arianne is hoping that Newhall Equeatrian will give her some more expeirnece of working within the industry. She has recently finished a couse at Bicton College and is continuing her education with us through Haddon Training working towards an NVQ and BHS stages. She has a particular interest in breeding so is very excited about the arrival of our foals in the spring.
